New Life’s Statements of Commitments

We are committed to being Christ-centered, motivated by His presence,

 empowered by His Spirit, under the Lordship of Jesus.

We are committed to being the unique church that Jesus Christ desires us to be.

We are committed to the Bible as our sole guide for faith and practice.

We are committed to our overall purposes:

Declare God’s Greatness

Deliver God’s Word

Disciple God’s People

Demonstrate God’s Love

Develop Dynamic Relationships

We are committed to support the ministries of New Life Baptist Church and it’s gatherings with our financial means, spiritual gifts, talents, and time.

We are committed to live our individual lives, and our corporate life as New Life, in a way that brings honor and glory to God, and that speaks well of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, and the New Life family.

We are committed to have a streamlined organization that focuses on these purposes without the bureaucracy that often hinders the mission of a church.

We are committed to being a loving family–brothers and sisters under the Fatherhood of God.

We are committed to having a world-view of our mission.

We are committed to call out members’ spiritual gifts for ministry and to encourage and support them as they exercise these gifts of the Spirit.

We are committed to being led by Jesus Christ rather than by tradition.

We are committed to welcome into the New Life family all people who are committed to Jesus Christ and His church, and who are willing to invest themselves in what the New Life family believe under God is the best way to achieve Christ’s purposes for New Life.

We are committed not to let efforts that may be considered failures keep us from moving forward in our untried efforts if we feel God is leading us to do these.

We are committing ourselves, in Christ’s name. Amen.
