Home Group For Sixth Graders

Starting Sunday, February 14 during home groups, there will be a Bible study for six graders in the children’s building entitled Everything You Need to Know to Be a Teenager. This is an enjoyable, helpful study for 6 graders, both boys and girls. It is a Bible study based on Christian doctrine, life choices and character traits. These topics cover things preteens are interested in and subjects preteens need to learn as they prepare for the teenage years.

Parents Night Out, Saturday. February 13

Parents, have a valentine’s night out by bringing your children, birth through 6 grade, to the children’s building on Saturday, February 13, 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. for dinner, recreation, movie and crafts. There is no charge and the children will be well cared for. Please call the church office or email reservations to childrensleader@nlbcd.org by Wednesday, February 10.

New Lifers Gearing Up For Big Events

March 11–Dennis Swanberg

New Lifers will go to Bailey’s for lunch and then go to First Baptist at 1:00 to hear Dennis Swanberg. Tickets for that event are $10. We need to begin getting folks signed up so we will know how many tickets we need to purchase. They must be purchased in advance and they are not refundable. Barbara Galloway, Sharon Farquhar and Delores Dickerson will be taking the money for the tickets and signing up folks beginning this week. Ticket deadline is February 28.

April 14–Biscuit Popping

Dub and Shirley Moss’s large pond will be the site for the next biscuit popping on April 14. This is a requested return event because everyone had so much fun at the last one. The van will be available for those who need a ride. Bring your lawn chair. There will be entertainment.

Also Coming

Some time in the last of April or the first of May, New Lifers will head to Moody Gardens in Galveston, Texas. Departure will be from the church at 7:00 a.m. and arrive for lunch at the Rain Forest Restaurant on the Sea Wall. A sign up sheet will be in the foyer for sign-ups.
