You folks are amazing and totally unpredictable! As Sunday school began last Sunday, only a handful of you were around. One Sunday school class had only one person, and others had few. Then, when worship began, the worship center was full. I mean full.

We are thankful that two lovely ladies officially joined the New Life family of faith–Martha O’Neal and Shawn Rykard.

Home Groups Starting Soon!

The first home group session of 2010 starts in just a few weeks. Facilitators will meet January 31at 5:30 p.m. and the groups themselves will begin meeting in February.

If for any reason you would like to change groups, please let Mrs. JoMcDaniel know within the next week. If you have not been in a group, please sign the sheet on the bulletin board in the foyer of the worship center.

The next session is entitled, "If You Want To Walk on Water, You’ve Got to Get Out of the Boat." This session is based on the book by the same name authored by John Ortberg, senior pastor of Menlo Park Presbyterian Church in Menlo Park, California. He previously served as teaching pastor at Willow Creek Community Church. He is the best-selling author of Everybody’s Normal Till You Get to Know Them; God Is Closer Than You Think; and Love Beyond Reason. The material is challenge, inspiring, and enlightening. Each session of group meetings will begin with a video by John Ortberg.

Sunday Offering for Haiti Victims

Sunday at the close of worship folks will be stationed by our outside doors of the worship center so we can donate to the relief efforts in Haiti. Southern Baptists have a wonderful way of putting all of the money directly into relief with no personnel expenses. The tragedy in that poverty stricken country is great and we do not have to wonder, "But what can I do." You will have a way Sunday.

Tell Your Friends About "An Encouraging Word"Every Sunday at 9:00 a.m. on KVVP

It features the special music by our praise team and Bro. Lynn’s message. It is broadcast a week later than our service. Tell your friends about this ministry.
